IRSC and LASER-TEC Visit Kopp Development Inc.

A group of 5 faculty members of the IRSC Electronics Engineering Technology Program and staff members of LASER-TEC visited Kopp Development Inc located in Jensen Beach, FL on Friday, November 13, 2015.

Kopp Development Inc is a national leader in development and manufacturing of ferromagnetic detectors for MRI rooms.  The rapidly expanding company currently employs several IRSC Electronics Engineering Technology graduates. They kindly agreed to host the visit and showcase their products and services.

The visitors learned about the company’s unique FerrAlert products- systems that enable precise detection of ferromagnetic threads before entering MRI areas.  They also learned about FerrAlert F.I.L.M. - a ferromagnetic incident log manager that enables secure and redundant logging and video recording of unauthorized access, incidents, and events occurring before and after the incident. The company engineers shared their work on the system software and hardware enhancement.
