What is fiber optics?
What is fiber optics?

Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation is more
commonly known by it acronym, LASER. A laser is a source that
produces a single color highly directional light beam with high
intensity.

Lasers applications:

Industrial materials processing, telecommunications, military,
public safety, and microelectronics to biomedicine,
pharmaceuticals, environmental sciences and many others.

An optical fiber is a transparent fiber made of glass or plastic,
slightly thicker than a human hair. It works as a waveguide, or
“light pipe” to transmit light along the length of the fiber.  Fiber
optics is the field of applied science and engineering that designs
and applies optical fibers.

Fiber optics applications:

Telecommunications, secured and broad-band  data
transmission, intelligent transportation systems, biomedical
industry, military, automotive, industrial sector, and many others.
